This is carried out in Spinal or General Anaesthesia. With the laser and lithotripter stone is fragmented and removed. A DJ stent is placed in kidney after the surgery and this stent is removed 7 days post-surgery.

It takes 24 hours for a patient to get recovered after PCNL.
